Cool Forklift Trick Puts Spotlight on Asian Forklift Operator

What’s the easiest way to put a coin into a plastic container? For one man from Singapore, the answer is obvious: use a forklift.

In a stunt that has to be seen to be believed, Ronald Khoo, a 20-year veteran forklift driver, recently posted a video that displays amazing dexterity, precision and efficiency. The video has taken Singapore by storm. It quickly spread through Asian social media outlets, and it’s now a popular forklift video here in the United States.

To sum it up: Khoo deftly spins a coin up on his forks, thanks to a nifty “drag-back” move. Once the coin is on his right fork, he weaves thought some cones and drops the coin into a plastic bin. The container’s opening is slightly larger than the coin.

What’s really incredible is how quickly Khoo pulls it off. The entire process takes less than 2 minutes.

And while the attention is welcome, Khoo’s humble nature puts everything in perspective.

“I am grateful to everyone who supported my training. It makes a difference in my life,” said Mr. Khoo. “When my students go out there, they can earn a living, so I feel even better.”
